Why the working matters
Most calculators give you a number and nothing else. KiraLah gives you the number, the formula that produced it and a worked example with real ringgit figures, because a result you can check is a result you can trust when you walk into the bank, the JPJ counter or the lawyer’s office.
Every official rate on the site, from JPJ road tax bands to Stamp Act tiers and Employment Act multipliers, lives in a data file with its source and the date it was last checked. That date is printed at the bottom of each page. After each Budget speech and whenever an agency changes a rule, the affected files are reviewed.
The results are estimates for planning. Banks round differently, agencies change rates, and your agreement may have terms a general calculator cannot see. Before you commit money, confirm the final figure with the bank, JPJ, LHDN or the agency concerned.
